Kakao Games Launches Pixel-Art MMORPG Dokkaebi’s World in Korea

Kakao Games has launched Dokkaebi’s World in Korea, bringing Supercat’s new 2.5D MMORPG to PC and mobile as of October 8 at 11:00 a.m. KST. Pre-downloads opened two days earlier.

The game is based on Myeolgwi Sudojeon, a Naver web novel and webtoon, and uses 2D pixel-art characters against 3D backgrounds. Its setting leans on traditional Korean folklore, with Dosul, a form of Taoist magic, as one of the main gameplay ideas.

Rather than locking players into fixed classes, Dokkaebi’s World lets them pick and combine skills to shape their combat style. It also includes character customization for outfits and mounts.

On PC, players need to install Google Play Games and the official launcher through the game’s website. On mobile, Dokkaebi’s World is available through Google Play and the Apple App Store in Korea.

Kakao Games is also running launch events, including a 28-day login campaign with daily rewards and a Hero’s Protection Selection Box at the end. Viewers can earn in-game coupons through Drops events on Korean streaming platforms Chzzk and SOOP. PC players paying through Google Play Games can also claim discount coupons of up to 90 percent from October 8 to October 17, while supplies last.
