Foxhole’s Airborne update is live, adding aircraft and paratroopers

Foxhole just added a whole new layer to its persistent war. Siege Camp’s Airborne update is now live, bringing flyable aircraft to the MMO alongside new support roles and infrastructure to keep them in the fight.

It also lands during Foxhole’s 10th anniversary, with a new paid bundle called the Supporters Edition. The base game is currently on sale for $17.99. The game is quite successful with a 24 hour peak of 11,975 players.

Airborne introduces air operations built around teamwork, in the same spirit as Foxhole’s ground and naval play. Players can crew different aircraft types, including bombers and fighters, and organize squadrons for things like bombing runs, supply line disruption, and air-to-air combat.

As you’d expect, it’s not just “spawn plane, go.” The update adds more logistics and base-building needs tied to aviation, including airfields, hangars, and production facilities, plus ground crew work to keep planes repaired and re-armed. Aircraft also have damageable sub-systems, so getting home in one piece (and getting patched up after) is part of the loop.

Paratroopers are in too, letting players deploy from the air to the ground, including behind enemy lines.

On the world side, Siege Camp says the map has been expanded by nearly 25%, with new multi-region islands and maritime areas, plus a broader visual overhaul across biomes.

Naval combat gets more toys as well: new ship classes, including utility ships and seven new combat boats. Carriers have also been added to support aircraft.

For the anniversary, the Foxhole Supporters Edition includes an in-game supporters badge, “historical themes,” the original soundtrack, exclusive wallpapers, and a digital art book with concept art and developer notes. Pricing wasn’t included in the source announcement.
