Fortnite is cutting V-Bucks amounts in its packs starting March 19, 2026

Epic Games is changing Fortnite’s V-Bucks pricing on March 19, 2026, when the next battle royale season begins. The short version: you’ll get fewer V-Bucks for the same money, and Fortnite Crew’s monthly V-Bucks stipend is also going down.

Epic laid out the changes in an official blog post, saying the increase is tied to rising costs to operate Fortnite.

The four standard V-Bucks packs are being adjusted like this:

  • $8.99: 800 V-Bucks (down from 1,000)
  • $22.99: 2,400 V-Bucks (down from 2,800)
  • $36.99: 4,500 V-Bucks (down from 5,000)
  • $89.99: 12,500 V-Bucks (down from 13,500)

Fortnite Crew subscribers will now get 800 V-Bucks per month instead of 1,000.

On the pass side, Epic says bonus currency rewards are being removed from the main battle pass. The battle pass itself is dropping in price from 1,000 V-Bucks to 800, and the OG, Lego, and Music passes are also getting a 200 V-Bucks price cut. Epic also mentions an optional season pass will be available, but didn’t spell out details here.

The announcement comes after Epic and Google resolved a dispute over app store fees, with Google’s fee reportedly reduced to 20%.
