Everwind targets Q1 early access as devlog details worldgen, combat, and NPC village changes

Enjoy Studios says its voxel co-op RPG Everwind is now aiming for an early access launch in Q1 of this year, narrowing its previous “sometime this year” window. The studio also shared a new devlog breaking down several changes it’s made after feedback from the game’s recent multiplayer demo.

According to the new devlog that outlines several changes, procedural world generation has gotten a big overhaul. Enjoy says worlds should form with more natural shapes, deeper terrain layers, and more points of interest to stumble into. It’s also leaning harder into verticality, with more mountains, more caves, and biomes that change based on altitude.

Combat’s been tweaked too. The devlog calls out new boss arenas and new enemies with special abilities. There’s also a new parry option for shields and “several weapons,” plus spell books that bring area-of-effect magic into the mix. Meanwhile, magic staffs now use a charge system.

Outside of fighting and exploration, Everwind now includes NPC villages with guards and traders. Enjoy also says it’s added full keybinding support, new quick shortcuts, and improved navigation markers.
