Eterspire v85 Revamps Whitespeckle Plains and Improves Performance

Eterspire’s v85 update, Grand Schemes and Green Pastures, is live as of November 3, bringing a full revamp of Whitespeckle Plains, a new high-level quest, and performance improvements aimed especially at lower-end mobile devices.

The biggest visible change is Whitespeckle Plains. The early-game area has been rebuilt with a new layout, updated visuals, and easier traversal for questing. The mobs, NPCs, and warps are still in place, but the map itself should feel less awkward to move through. The team says Oakridge Crossing is next in line for the same treatment.

• Terrain rendering and most shaders have been improved to reduce stutters, stabilize frame rates, and cut battery drain.

• Players can redeem /redeem EXPOEVA for the Captain Suller’s Wonderful Banner of Eloquence cosmetic.

The performance work sounds like the other major piece here. Eterspire’s developers say the update should help across all devices, with the biggest gains expected on lower-end phones. Some areas should also look better thanks to the terrain rendering changes.

There are a couple of bug fixes too, including one for the Beauty and the Frog quest where disconnecting during dialogue with The Besugo could cause several quest stages to be skipped. The patch notes also mention several smaller fixes, but don’t list them in detail.
