Diablo 4’s Season of Death Awakening Starts June 30 With Solo Self Found Mode

Diablo 4’s next seasonal update, Season of Death Awakening, goes live on June 30. Blizzard is adding a new activity built around Pandemonium Ruptures, a Solo Self Found mode for players who want a stricter ladder climb, and a free trial for the Warlock class starting the same day.

The main seasonal hook is Pandemonium Ruptures, which open up across Sanctuary and throw new monsters at players. Keeping a rupture active longer means better rewards, with players killing monsters and closing Tears to extend the run. Rupture Goblins can also appear and open more ruptures, so it sounds like the mode can snowball if you keep up.

Season of Death Awakening also adds Deathtoll Chambers, where players can run into a returning boss tied to the new seasonal activity. Blizzard breaks down the seasonal systems in its official post.

Solo Self Found is the other big addition. In this mode, players can’t trade or party up, so progression is entirely self-earned. It also has its own leaderboards, giving dedicated solo players a separate track to compete on instead of being measured against grouped or traded characters.

The update is also changing how Mythic-quality gear can show up. Any Unique item drop will have a chance to appear as Mythic Quality, or be upgraded into Mythic through the new system. There’s still a limit, though: crafted Mythic Uniques are restricted to one equipped at a time.
