CINDER CITY dev video shows tactical gear, vehicles, and open-world boss raids

NC has released a new developer video for CINDER CITY, BigFire Games’ upcoming open-world shooter set in a near-future Seoul. The latest video focuses less on story and more on how players will fight, travel, and team up, with tactical gear, vehicles, field bosses, instanced dungeons, and large-scale open-world raids all getting some attention.

The video follows the Gamescom 2026 trailer that introduced the protagonist, Seven. This time, NC shows a mix of modern firearms and more futuristic 23rd-century weapons, but the bigger focus is Tactical Gear. These are character-specific tools such as shields, support bots, deployable traps, shield recovery gear, and area attacks. The footage also suggests gear is unlocked through nodes, with each piece using its own battery resource and cooldown.

Vehicles will also play a role in getting around Seoul and handling fights. The video shows motorbikes, cars, helicopters, Humvees, and power loaders, with some built for co-op use. A helicopter can provide air support, a Humvee can bring a mounted minigun, and a power loader looks aimed at heavier encounters, including boss fights.

CINDER CITY will include drop-in-style open-world cooperation, at least in some activities. Players can run into other Cinderknights during side missions or dynamic events and help without formally joining a party. Field bosses can be tackled solo, with nearby players, or avoided if the fight looks rough.

For more structured PvE, the game will have four-player instanced dungeons with bosses built around specific mechanics. On the larger end, NC is positioning open-world bosses as major MMO-style events, with many players fighting a single large threat in Seoul.

NC hasn’t announced a release date in this update. The game’s official site is live for players who want to follow future details.
