Black Desert Mobile Season 2 Is Live as Pearl Abyss Lays Out Heidel Ball Update Plans

Pearl Abyss used its 2026 Heidel Ball event in Amsterdam to outline the next stretch of Black Desert Mobile updates, with a focus on faster progression, gear access, and trimming down overlapping content. The mobile MMORPG also kicked off Season 2 on July 14, letting existing characters become seasonal characters for the first time.

According to the official post, future updates will increase rewards from Knowledge-based content such as Constellations, Boss Rush, and Alyaelli’s Rift. Pearl Abyss says the changes should cut the time needed for Knowledge progression by more than 50%.

High-end gearing is getting a few changes too. The Combat Power requirement for obtaining Kharazad Accessories has been lowered as of July 14. Pearl Abyss also confirmed Genesis Gear, a new Nebular-grade equipment tier planned for a future update. It will be crafted from +9 or higher Blackstar gear, along with materials from the upcoming Ulukita region, and will carry over enhancement-based stats from existing equipment.

On August 4, Black Desert Mobile will start consolidating some overlapping systems and move selected PvE and PvP activities onto rotation schedules. Node War and Siege War are also due for a revamp, with new objectives and expanded rewards planned. A public test for those large-scale PvP changes is expected sometime in August.

Season 2 is live now, and the update also adds Skill Sigil quality-of-life changes, including automatic Sigil equipment and easier preset sharing. Pearl Abyss has also started the Dragon Palace summer event, with limited-time activities and rewards for new and returning players.
