AION 2 Sets Creator Faction Event Ahead of September Early Access

NC America is lining up a two-week creator competition for AION 2 ahead of the MMORPG’s 2026 launch. The event, called War For Atreia, will feature 60 streamers split across Elyos and Asmodian factions, with play beginning alongside Early Access on September 30. The full launch is set for October 5.

The setup is part faction war, part team competition. Creators will represent North America, Europe, and Latin America, with six captains leading regional teams: Stoopzz and Sonii for North America, Baggins and Wakayashi for Europe, and Rakin and Tixinha for Latin America. Each region gets 10 creators per faction.

Before the event starts, the remaining 54 creators will be drafted live from regional pools. NC America says the draft is scheduled for September 23 at 10 am PT on AION 2’s social channels, with captains alternating picks and each Legion revealing its name and sigil afterward.

During War For Atreia, completed campaign bounties and viewer participation will count toward two tracks: the overall Elyos versus Asmodian faction race and a Top Legion race for the individual teams. NC America is also planning hidden mid-campaign bounties, viewer rewards, and follow-up Twitch drops, though the specific rewards weren’t detailed in the announcement.

AION 2 is NC’s follow-up to its long-running fantasy MMORPG, with flight again positioned as a major feature. The publisher says the sequel will include free flight, underwater areas, aerial combat, and both PvE and PvP content across a much larger world than the original AION.
