Stationeers
Stationeers is a space survival and construction simulator focused on building a functioning outpost from the ground up. Rather than leaning on scripted missions, it asks you to learn interconnected systems, wire them together, and keep them stable while space actively tries to kill you. Developed by Rocketwerkz, a studio founded by Dean Hall (best known for the DayZ mod), it is a deliberately technical take on station management that rewards patience and planning.

Stationeers Overview
Stationeers puts you in charge of constructing a space station (or remote habitat) and then keeping it operational through hands-on management of its subsystems. Survival is not just about gathering resources, it is about making your station behave like a real environment. You will be dealing with power generation and distribution, agriculture and food production, medical care, atmospherics, and the station’s structural health.
A major part of the experience is the science-leaning atmosphere simulation. Pressure, temperature, gas composition, and combustion all matter, which means your air handling is something you design, monitor, and troubleshoot. When things go wrong, the knock-on effects can be severe, a breach can destabilize rooms, and damage can even interfere with gravity systems when integrity is compromised. Injury and illness are also treated as practical problems to solve, including the need for player-performed surgery in serious cases, along with dealing with sickness and other medical complications.
Progress tends to come from building toward automation. To thrive, you will eventually set up processing lines and factories, linking machinery through computers, conveyors, and networks so that raw materials can be harvested, refined, and turned into the parts that expand your station’s capabilities.
Stationeers Key Features:
- Space Station 13 – Stationeers takes clear inspiration from the long-running 2003 simulation Space Station 13.
- Co-op – it supports solo play, but the workload becomes far more manageable with a small team.
- Gravity Simulation – station integrity matters, damage can cascade into system failures, including gravity-related issues.
- Construct Your Station – design and assemble a livable station by coordinating structure, power, and networking.
- Science-based Atmospherics – manage pressure, temperature, combustion, and gas mixes with a more simulation-forward approach.
