LuckCatchers Overview
LuckCatchers is a steampunk sandbox MMORPG inspired by Alexey Pehov’s novel of the same name. You play as an airship captain in a large contiguous world designed to be explored without loading screens. Instead of locking you into a traditional class, the game leans on a skill-based progression model where your capabilities are defined by what you choose to train and use.
The game’s content loop mixes exploration and resource gathering with crafting and trade, then ties those systems into territory development. As you progress, you can work toward new ships, aircraft, weapons, and combat options, while also participating in a player-driven economy where goods, crafted items, and even premium currency can be exchanged. Beyond personal advancement, LuckCatchers also pushes social and political play: players can hire one another through a labor market, establish settlements with functional structures, and compete for regional power. If your group becomes dominant in a territory, you can take on a governor-like role with taxation and conflict over neighboring lands.
LuckCatchers Key Features:
- Command an airship – travel the world as a sky captain, piloting one of several airships and keeping smaller craft stored in your hangar.
- Classless progression – develop the skills you prefer, then use them to open up access to different ships, planes, weapons, and abilities.
- Player-run economy – buy and sell directly with other players, including the ability to trade premium currency.
- Found settlements – establish settlements in the open world and construct structures such as castles, mines, drilling platforms, and more.
- Become a governor – lead the largest guild in a territory to claim governance, collect taxes from residents, and contest other regions through warfare and conquest.
