Overview

Eternity Warriors 3 Overview

Eternity Warriors 3 is a 3D hack-n-slash action RPG for iOS and Android that leans heavily on quick dungeon runs, loot upgrades, and skill-driven combat. Instead of automated battling, it uses a virtual joystick for movement paired with large ability buttons, making it feel closer to a miniature Diablo-style crawler than many other free-to-play mobile RPGs from the same period. The core progression is straightforward, clear stages packed with enemies and occasional bosses, repeated across higher difficulties to keep the gear chase going.

The equipment system is the main long-term hook. Most of your power comes from replacing items with higher-tier drops, then pushing them further via crafting-style upgrades. Older pieces can be recycled into resources, and certain drops from quests and dungeons are used to evolve equipment into stronger versions, boosting effectiveness and overall gearscore. It is a loop designed for frequent upgrades and constant optimization rather than one-and-done loot finds.

Class choice also shapes how the game plays. With three distinct characters to pick from, each has a set of unlockable and upgradeable skills that emphasize active play, dodging, spacing, and interrupting enemy attacks at the right moment. When the campaign grind starts to feel familiar, the game offers alternatives such as Arena matches, an Endless Arena focused on surviving waves, and story content split into normal and legendary modes for players who want tougher, more loot-oriented runs.

Eternity Warriors 3 Key Features:

  • Arcade-like ARPG Battles – Combat is real-time and rewards timing, movement, and smart ability use, especially when avoiding heavy hits and controlling groups.
  • Three Playable Classes (Warrior, Monk, Mage) – Each character comes with their own style, skill set, and gear priorities, giving the grind a different feel depending on your pick.
  • Plenty of Linear Dungeon Runs – Progress through the story across multiple difficulty tiers, plus an Endless mode built around repeated waves and endurance.
  • PvP Arena – The game includes real-time 1v1 Arena fights, offering a competitive outlet and another reason to keep upgrading your build.
  • Deep Gear Progression – Strengthen equipment through upgrades like socketing gems, breaking down outdated items for materials, and evolving gear using rarer drops.

Eternity Warriors 3 Review

Eternity Warriors 3 succeeds at one important thing for a mobile action RPG, it feels responsive. Movement and skills are immediate, enemies telegraph attacks clearly enough to reward dodging, and the moment-to-moment flow is built around staying aggressive without getting cornered. If you are looking for a portable dungeon crawler where your attention matters, EW3 generally delivers that sensation, especially in tougher encounters where timing is more important than raw stats.

The campaign structure is simple and intentionally repeatable. You move through a sequence of compact dungeons, clear packs, and finish with a boss or a tougher room, then replay stages on higher difficulties to farm materials and better drops. That loop is effective in short sessions, but it can also highlight the game’s biggest weakness, repetition. Enemy groups and environments blur together over time, and the gameplay starts to feel like a checklist of runs to keep gearscore moving upward.

Where EW3 stands out is its gear treadmill. Upgrading, recycling, socketing, and evolving equipment gives you several knobs to turn, so you are rarely waiting for a single perfect drop. The downside is that the same system encourages constant chasing, and progression can feel heavily influenced by monetization pressure. The game is enjoyable when you are improving through play, but it is hard to ignore that faster power gains are often tied to premium shortcuts, which can undercut the satisfaction of earning upgrades organically.

The three classes help keep things interesting. Warrior tends to favor direct engagement and survivability, Monk plays more like a mobile brawler with mobility and tempo, and Mage brings a more ability-focused approach that can control space and delete enemies when cooldowns line up. Skill upgrades add a sense of growth beyond gear, and learning when to interrupt or reposition becomes essential in later content.

PvP is a notable inclusion because it is real-time and plays by the same rules as the PvE combat, you are still dodging, timing skills, and managing spacing. That said, competitive balance in gear-driven games is always tricky, and it is easy for Arena fights to lean toward whoever has the stronger upgrades. It can be fun as a change of pace, but it is not the kind of PvP that will satisfy players looking for a purely skill-equal competitive environment.

The lack of co-op is the other major limitation. These kinds of dungeon crawlers often shine with a friend, and without multiplayer PvE the endgame options boil down to solo farming and PvP. If you enjoy grinding builds alone and occasionally testing them against other players, EW3 has a clear niche. If you want a social, party-based ARPG experience, it simply does not provide it.

Eternity Warriors 3 is both developed and published by Glu Games, a San Franciso-based mobile studio known for a wide catalog that includes Deer Hunter and Diner Dash, along with several licensed releases such as Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. As the third entry in the Eternity Warriors series, it builds on earlier games with a noticeable upgrade in visual quality and a more involved equipment forging and evolution loop.

At launch, EW3 notably did not include two features many players expected from Eternity Warriors 2, co-op play and PvP. Real-time Arena PvP was later added, giving players a competitive mode that fits the game’s action-first combat. Co-op, however, never became part of the package, leaving the experience centered on solo dungeon progression, gear grinding, and optional PvP until the game’s shut down in 2016.
