Blade 2
Blade 2 was a mobile action RPG built around quick, combo-driven battles, letting players step into the role of one of four heroes with different weapons and fighting approaches. The core hook was stylish, high-speed action, chaining skills and attacks to cut through waves of enemies while pushing back a dark, monster-filled threat.

Blade 2 Overview
Blade 2 was positioned as Action Square’s follow-up to Blade, aiming to raise the presentation bar by building the game on Unreal Engine 4 for mobile devices. The design centered on four distinct classes, the Gladiator, the Assassin, the Wizard, and an added Martial Arts Fighter, each meant to feel meaningfully different in both range and rhythm. Whether you preferred weapon-focused brawling, quick strikes, or spellcasting from a safer distance, the game’s identity leaned into fast, cinematic encounters.
Combat was intended to be the main attraction, encouraging players to string together attacks and abilities into extended chains while clearing groups of enemies quickly. Alongside the action, Blade 2 emphasized a more premium mobile experience with polished cinematics and voice work to sell its darker fantasy tone and keep the campaign feeling more like a console-style action RPG than a lightweight phone title.
Blade 2 Key Features:
- An Added Playstyle – Blade 2 introduced the Martial Arts Fighter, designed for players who wanted close-range, hand-to-hand pressure.
- Four Distinct Picks – choose from four characters with different strengths, tools, and weapon preferences.
- Combo-Focused Action – the battles were built around smooth inputs and rapid chaining to keep fights aggressive and continuous.
- Premium Presentation – cinematics and voiced sequences were highlighted as a key part of the experience.
