AllStar Manga Heroes
AllStar Manga Heroes (Android), which many iOS users encountered under the name Anime Warriors – Guardians of Manga World, is a mobile action RPG focused on collecting and deploying familiar-looking, anime-styled fighters reminiscent of series such as Bleach, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Hunter X Hunter. The core loop is straightforward: build a wishlist roster, place units into a formation, and then farm modes and upgrades that will feel instantly recognizable to mid-2010s hero-collector fans.

AllStar Manga Heroes Overview
AllStar Manga Heroes centers on recruiting anime-inspired warriors and running them through a cycle of campaign stages, power upgrades, and competitive activities. The Android build arrived as AllStar Manga Heroes, while the iOS version cycled through different branding, with Anime Warriors – Guardians of Manga World being the best-known label. Regardless of the title on the store, the main draw is watching lookalikes of popular characters—think Luffy, Goku, or Ichigo—brawl together, even though the licensing status appears dubious.
Battles emphasize roster construction more than twitch skill. Your team is positioned in a three-line setup—typically interpreted as front, middle, and back—and where you place units affects who tanks hits, who provides support, and who can keep dealing damage safely. As difficulty ramps up, the game nudges you toward smarter synergies instead of just fielding the biggest stats, since survivability and utility can decide tougher encounters.
Character growth follows the multi-system approach common to mobile RPGs of the period. Units gain levels and stars, then feed into larger endgame multipliers like God Souls and God Power. An awakening system, fueled by grindable materials, pushes repeat farming to unlock further boosts. Beyond regular PvE, the game promotes cross-server PvP and a selection of activity-style maps and modes (with areas such as the Sky Arena and the Coin Trail). Pets create yet another collection track, some clearly echoing monster-collecting inspirations, adding to the “packed with systems” vibe.

AllStar Manga Heroes Review
AllStar Manga Heroes does deliver the immediate “crossover collector” fantasy, but it’s difficult to endorse now—both because service ended around mid 2016 and because the overall package reflects the rough, rushed feel often associated with unlicensed mobile RPGs from that timeframe.
Its biggest strength is the character-collection appeal. Even when the cast amounts to “inspired by” takes on famous leads, it nails what team-builder fans typically want: recognizable roles, flashy skills, and a pretext to mix multiple franchises into one squad. The formation layout adds some tactical flavor too, since protecting fragile backliners and anchoring the front becomes important as fights get harsher.
Where it stumbles is in balance and monetization. A lot of power is locked behind stacked systems—star upgrades, the God-themed enhancement tracks, and awakening—and those layers tend to widen the divide between dedicated grinders and paying players. PvP can feel particularly uneven once rivals aren’t merely higher level, but also heavily boosted across several overlapping progression paths.
The moment-to-moment experience also suffers from uneven polish. The English text is often awkward or unclear, making menus, upgrades, and mode descriptions more confusing than necessary. Technical hiccups are another recurring issue, with bugs and instability disrupting what should be a simple daily routine. In a game built around repeated farming, crashes and broken interface elements drain momentum quickly.
For anyone revisiting it out of curiosity, AllStar Manga Heroes is a snapshot of an era when many anime-styled collectors chased big crossover hype with limited production values and questionable legality. It had a few solid ideas—especially formations and awakenings—but struggled with fairness, clarity, and reliability.
