Jagex announced today that the tickets for Runefest 2018, the annual celebration of Runescape/Old School Runescape are on sale today, at 11 am ET. Slated to be the biggest Runefest yet, the convention will take place on Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th at the new Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, just 30 miles from London. Runefest 2018 will feature a world first with the premiere of RuneScape Live, an exclusive Runescape concert from the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Iconic pieces of the Runescape music library will be performed, newly-arranged by video game composer James Hannigan and will set the stage for all of the festivities.
Tickets are on sale for 150 British Pounds at the official Runefest website (provided below) and provide access to both Runescape Live on Friday, October 5th, the Night Before Party following the performance, and Runefest 2018 on the next day. The theme for Runefest 2018 will be revealed at a later date, it will have a host of announcements, LAN gaming, roleplaying, as well as developer panels. Preparations for RuneFest 2018 come as Jagex continues to countdown to the launch of Old School RuneScape and RuneScape on mobile devices over the coming months.
“Every year, RuneFest becomes a bigger landmark date in the calendar – it’s a way for us to celebrate all things RuneScape with our incredible and passionate community, and give something back to them,” said Head of Events at Jagex, Josh Winward. “RuneFest’s new home at Farnborough provides us with the opportunity to bring more of our living game world of Gielinor to life than ever before. This year, the new addition of RuneScape Live, a show featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, promises to make RuneFest 2018 one of the most special events in Jagex and RuneScape’s 17-year history.”
