Shadow Arena

Shadow Arena was Pearl Abyss’ attempt to turn Black Desert Online’s battle royale experiment into a standalone, match-based brawler. Built around 40-player solo and duo matches, it mixed action combat, skill combos, and PvE farming, asking players to hunt monsters and field bosses for gear upgrades before the circle mechanic, here called the Dark Fog, forced everyone into increasingly dangerous fights.
