Throne and Liberty is merging NA regions on March 12, with a bigger update set for April 2
Throne and Liberty is getting a big round of merges on March 12, including a full region consolidation for North and South America. NA-East, NA-West, and South America will be combined into a single Americas region, with servers running on U.S. Central Time.
All regions will see some server merges on the same date (Americas, EU, and APAC), with the team saying more specifics on which servers are affected should arrive about a week beforehand.
There are a couple platform wrinkles too. The Americas region will be the only one keeping a PlayStation-only server. Any other PlayStation-only servers in other regions are being folded into the main server pool.
On the PvP side, the latest “Tico Talks” video and a creator roundtable focused on pain points like shields and tankiness feeling too dominant, with limited counterplay. No broad PvP overhaul was announced right now, but Battlegrounds changes are on the way.
Those Battlegrounds tweaks include shrinking max party size to three, and basing matchmaking on the highest-ranked player’s MMR in the group. The team also says it’s working on stopping players from sneaking into matches as “non-healing” roles while effectively acting as extra healers.
Tower of Greed is also getting another look. After feedback on its launch, the developers said it didn’t meet expectations and will need more than quick fixes, pointing toward a more thorough rework.
Looking a little further out, the next major update is scheduled for April 2. It’s set to add two new co-op dungeons, update two existing three-star dungeons, bring in a new Battlegrounds map built around capture points (with a waterway and buildable pathways), and introduce a new accessory slot: the brooch.
