BitCraft Online is wiping servers on Feb. 26, and players can vote on how much resets
BitCraft Online is getting a server wipe on February 26, following 24 hours of downtime, and Clockwork Laboratories is letting the community vote on how extensive that reset should be. The wipe is tied to the studio’s ongoing changes to the Empires feature, including removing the premium currency requirement.
Details are laid out in a new devblog. No matter which option wins, the game will come back with a fresh world, and players will be able to keep their previous character names reserved if they want to reuse them.
The poll includes three wipe options:
- World Wipe (only Character EXP carries over)
- Full Wipe (everything resets, including Character EXP)
- Full Final Wipe (same as Full Wipe, but intended to be the last wipe the game ever does)
Alongside the Empires changes, the Early Access price is also dropping. The game previously cost $29.99 and included 10,000 Hexite Shards (the premium currency). With shards removed, the new price is $15.99. The studio also says to expect a limited-time 50% sale tied to the wipe, which would bring it down to $7.99.
BitCraft’s claim to fame is its open source nature with the first phase of open sourcing starting last month.
