Lineage Red Knights Overview

Lineage Red Knights is NCSoft’s attempt to reframe the Lineage universe for mobile, mixing familiar monsters and iconography with an accessible, collectible-driven format. Set roughly 150 years before the events of Lineage II, it presents its own “Red Knights” storyline while leaning heavily on recognizable enemies and locations that longtime fans will immediately associate with the franchise.

The core loop is built around raising a stable of units and deploying them alongside one primary hero that you actively control. Rather than being simple stat sticks, units come with distinctive skills that can be fired off during combat, ranging from elemental magic to big, flashy creature attacks. This creates a rhythm of positioning and timing your hero’s actions while weaving in your squad’s abilities for burst damage, control, or survivability.

Progression is largely driven by PvE challenges and loot collection. One of the notable PvE modes is a tower-style climb where boss encounters and obstacles vary from run to run, encouraging repeated attempts and different team compositions. On the competitive side, the game also features maps where PvE activities and PvP conflict intersect, so farming and fighting can collide depending on where you roam and who else is present.

Social systems round things out. Players can band together in guild-like communities, coordinate progression, and use trading to move items between players. Visually, the game adopts a cute, cartoon-like interpretation of Lineage characters and monsters, which helps it stand apart from the mainline games’ more traditional fantasy presentation.
