Now in open beta, Romans: Age of Caesar sees players rebuilding the empire as they share resources, re-establish trade routes and protect their cities from barbarian invasion. Experience classic city builder gameplay online across the empire as you build, trade and fight alongside fellow players in a shared open world. With up to 16 players per city, governors must cooperate in order to rebuild Rome. Beyond your district lies an expansive empire map, where players can build cities, discover new resources and team up with otherwise rival city states. Sharpen your legions and engage in tactical combat to push back the barbarian frontiers in PvE or engage in political warfare, join alliances and great houses to claim glory in epic battles in PvP. Draw blood or work alongside fellow governors, defeating common threats and building the prosperity of your shared online city.

With the ultimate goal to be crowned Caesar, players must work their way up through the senate before reaching the political endgame. Earn the confidence of your political allies and either rise with them through the lower chambers or betray them when it suits you best. Manoeuvre between different loyalties, positions and gods, to remain politically nimble and succeed in your final quest for power. Dare to become emperor and have your name known across the empire.
