Chess Rush Kicks Off Global Star Challenge Tournament

Tencent’s Chess Rush is proud to announce that their new auto-battler is kicking off their first esports tournament. This tournament will feature 8 influences from 8 different countries and a 16,000 dollar prize pool. Fans watching the tournament will also have a chance to win one of the latest mobile phones from Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo.  To celebrate this Global Star Challenge, Tencent announced a partnership with Gameloop to let players emulate Chess Rush on PC seamlessly. Gameloop’s easy to navigate interface allows players to set up their session with just one click. Gameloop provides a lag-free gaming experience while also giving players the ability to play Chess Rush on a larger screen and allowing for longer gaming sessions. This Global Start Challenge began with each of the 8 influencers drawing the heroes they have to play during the first round, which will use the game’s Classic Mode. The influencers from 8 different countries include Disguised Toast from the US, Aurum representing Russia, CGGG representing Thailand, DDaHyoNi representing South Korea, Erpan representing Indonesia, マックスむらい representing Japan, P4wnyhof representing Germany, and PlayHard representing Brazil.

While playing in Classic Mode each player will not be able to sell their selected hero for the duration of the round. Following the Classic Mode round, the 8 influencers will compete in Turbo mode which features 10+ minute matches. The top four influencers will receive points in the tournament, and at the end of the two rounds, the player with the most points will win the 10,000 grand prizes, with second place being awarded 5,000. Third place will receive 1,000 dollars. This tournament will also be streamed on July 27th, at 8 am PST on YouTubeFacebookTwitchCube TV, or Nimo TV with a chanc eto win one of three mobile phones: theXiamoi M19, the Oppo Reno, and the Vivo NEX.
