AxE: Alliance Versus Empire Coming to Mobile from Nexon

Nexon announced today that they have a new MMORPG on the way to Apple (iPhone/iPad) and Google Play devices this year. AxE promises to deliver next-generation, fully-featured MMORPG action onto mobile devices, with an ever-changing open world. The Darkhaan Empire and the Galanos Empire are locked in battle and will be brought to life using Unity 5 Vulkan technology. 150 players will able to do battle at once in 75 vs. 75 real-time PVP, while also offering other cooperative and competitive modes for players to test their mettle in.

Whether it’s 75 vs. 75, 4v4, or cooperative battles and raids, AxE will have something for everyone. It will also have robust social systems such as chat and team management at launch, and provide players with forums and tools to strategize before their battles. AxE’s in-game voice chat system provides players with the ability to communicate and strategize live during raids, co-op missions and player vs player matches. Players can keep tabs on their rivals through AxE’s chase and revenge feature, giving them the ability to track and pursue enemy players in the game in real-time.

Players will be able to create and customize their character from six unique and powerful classes. Each character can be equipped with an arsenal of weapons, armor, abilities and more that can be tailored to fit every playstyle preference. AxE’s single-player adventure will have players exploring a range of vibrant open-world locations, where they will meet unique characters and enemies and complete quests and objectives to earn powerful loot and equipment to further level up and customize their characters.

“AxE has been created from the ground up to bring a PC and console quality MMO and open-world gameplay experience for gamers around the world,” said Tommy Lee, General Manager of NEXON M. “We’re excited to bring this incredibly deep universe and its fast and fun social gameplay that has already been enjoyed by millions in Korea and Japan to the rest of the world soon this year.”
