This week has been a successful one for Artix Entertainment, as its new project, AdventureQuest 3D, has been both fully funded on Kickstarter and Greenlit on Steam.

AQ3D’s Kickstarter will continue until January 1, allowing backers to continue to fund the game toward stretch goals including moglin NPCs, daily login rewards, pets, and more. You can find out more about where the campaign is going here.

Steam eh? They better remove that member option if they want to be relevant at all there.

They already removed the membership option and they never really had a plan to have membership packages on AQ3D but they were gonna have a 1 time only payment to get guardian status.

They should because the devs have stated they aren’t gonna have a member option for AQ3D. They also said they was gonna kill off the browser version of AQ3D for technical reasons.

I had a good laugh when I saw one of the devs on twitter saying they already ran out of the money they earned on kickstarter even though AQ3D isn’t out yet. Hope they can find some more funds otherwise the game probably might not be worth joining.

I really feel the Artix entertainment staff is rushing this game. I don’t even think this game should be out yet for another year or 2 depending on the development but I don’t even think it’s close on release date yet. And I think it’s bad how they are using alot of micro currency options especially just to enter a dungeon or to craft an item. I mean I know we can do it for free but it’s limited we gotta wait 1 hour irl just to craft an item or we get limited keys to use and once we run out we gotta wait for 1 key to recharge which takes a few hours or buy it for micro currency. I really would support it if it had a better business model but I’ve seen better games released like AQ3D and had better graphics and better combat and less payment restrictions. I also feel one day they should build their own download client or launcher because not everyone want’s to use steam or mobile devices or if they build windows 10 client a windows 10 app to launch AQ3D.
