Eternal Lands Gameplay – First Look HD

To Learn More About the Game, Check out our Eternal Lands Page.

Eternal Lands is a 3D independently developed fantasy MMORPG that looks and plays a lot like Fragoria and RuneScape. The game has 3D graphics, but they aren’t nearly as impressive as more well known titles like Battle of the Immortals or even Metin 2. Gameplay wise, Eternal Lands feels a bit slow paced, but it is actually quite in-depth. Like Ultima Online and Darkfall Online, there are no actual set classes in Eternal Lands. Instead, players gain proficiency in the weapons and skills they use. To learn more about Eternal Lands check out the official MMOHut Eternal Lands page which includes a detailed review, tons of screenshots, and additional videos.

I was going to request a First Look of this game at some point, have thought about it alot, but now someone else did it first.
I don’t think you really did the game justice in this First Look. As “TheMrDipi” on youtube wrote in a comment, you weren’t very observant. The actual creator of the game, radu, was sitting next to you, even speaking to you. But you didn’t notice or respond. And btw, there is a developer team and alot of work put into it, radu and his wife were starting the game though. I even contributed small bit a few years ago. Since then alot of things have happened, e.g. mounts, bows, improved graphics (especially the water) and also instances.
So obviously this isn’t a dead game in any way, and graphics isn’t all. You could have looked at the “Players online”-page on the site for example, there’s a constant 500+ or so players online. There are also alot of guilds, wars and various events.
The game is far from flawless though and doesn’t suit a big playerbase maybe, but the player community is probably more helpful than in any other game.
So this game needs alot of time if you want to play it and learn it all, and btw there are many maps, very big ones too.

If I didn’t notice or respond it’s because of the game’s poor interface. I think the game is very impressive for something done by one or two people. From what I’ve noticed, a lot of the players in Eternal Lands are ridiculously elitest. People emailed me demanding I change the Eternal Lands graphics on the MMOHut page from low to High because they claimed Eternal Lands had MUCH better graphics than Perfect World. I ignored them because I can’t bother to respond to someone that irrational.

I went into Eternal Lands with ZERO knowledge about the game. ZERO. The point of my first look video is exactly that. a First look. First impressions. Not only did I go into the game with zero knowledge, I was speaking to the microphone as I played, which took some of my attention away from the game.

Eternal Lands has a fan base of 10plus year players and any one who is new who decides to join are harassed and ridiculed from the majority of these veteran players. Radu always sides with these players as well. Its a shame. New players will NEVER be good enough to fight these players and win a pk battle, and once you lose your battle be prepared to be scammed and flamed from these same players. There are way better games out there than putting up with the mondane repetitiveness of harvesting, polishing manufacturing and very spoiled snobbish players ingame.
