Major content updates in Runes of Magic are known as ‘Chapters’ and the developers are about to release the third chapter, titled ‘The Elder Kingdoms.’ The servers have gone down temporarily to implement the new expansion and will be coming back up early in the morning on May 19, 2010. This new tutorial shows clips of what players can expect in the new patch, and an epic sounding narrator adds to the excitement. Runes of Magic has been labeled a ‘WoW Clone’ but while the graphic style and interface are similar, RoM offers many unique features such as duel classing. The fact that its free to play doesn’t hurt either! The Elder Kingdoms should offer veteran players plenty of content to explore and give gamers another reason to give RoM a try.
