A great war machine, steadfast in its submission to the leader. This faction’s policy is aimed at expansion: expanding the boundaries of the Emperor’s power is their main priority.
The Empire’s strength comes from the best navy in the universe. The magnificent ships are characterized by high wear resistance and combat capability. They are equipped with the best offensive and defensive techniques in their field, which were developed by the faction’s scientific cabinet. Representatives of the Empire are very interested in technology, particularly military technology. The cabinet of scientists, which is formed by the best minds in the universe, is generously sponsored—Imperials don’t skimp on innovations. However, the Empire isn’t interested in sharing these technical innovations with the masses.
The army is the pride of every Imperial, and a successful military career is essential for anyone who hopes to achieve a high-powered position. Representatives of this faction command respect with fortitude, the ability to stand up for themselves, and solidarity. The appearance of members of the Empire is exactly the same as their character. According to them, one’s clothes should be functional and reflect the owner’s status.
Proud and strong, loyal to the Emperor and ready to conquer the universe every day of the year, Imperials are one of the universe’s strongest factions.
Characteristics of the Empire Ships
The Empire ships are a good choice. The ship’s hull is 35% stronger compared to ships from other factions, but the shield is 20% weaker than the shields of other factions. All in all a recommended choice for all who prefere to play on strength.
Bonus for Imperial factions
“Loyalty”: +5% Reputation
“Rage”: +5% Damage on main weapons
The Imperial factions
Also known as the Alliance of Free Worlds. Representatives of this faction bow to no one, but have paid for their freedom with centuries of bloody wars against the Empire.
There is no rigid power structure or clear hierarchy in the Alliance. This faction doesn’t pursue a policy of aggressive expansion (except the expansion of the mind), but from time to time accept free men into their ranks when one star system or another decides to throw off the yoke of the Empire. Trade is the Federation’s power and there no place in the known universe that was occupied by another faction without a Federation representative getting there first—whether to mine, sell, or explore the potential market.
The Federation cares about the development of technology. Its high quality ships are well eqipped, speedy, and convenient for travel and transporting goods. Men of the Federation use weapons primarily for self-protection, which is why the Federation keeps developing portable and stationary devices to generate solid force fields.
As for their appearance, members of the Federation are known as rather democratic personalities. Expensive fabrics of superior design, exceptional comfort, and some extravagance distinguish their favorite apparel. However, in striving for the perfect appearance, members of the Alliance don’t neglect defense, hiding portable generators and power fields in their belts, or venom locators and virtual maps in their rings
Their desire for security, taste for moderate adventure, love of luxury, and exceptional nose for profit are the main features that characterize representatives of the Federation faction.
Characteristics of the Federation Ships
Ships of the Federation are characterized by high speed and maneuverability. These abilities are 25-30% higher compared to the other factions. In addition the Federation ships have good power generators allowing them to replenish energy 15% faster.
Bonus for Federations factions
“Transaction”: +5% credit income
“The perfect Setup”: +2% Hitpoints for hull and shields
The Federation factions
The heirs of people who were long ago banished from the Earth, Jericho are quite suspicious of and harsh toward strangers. Forced to live for a long time on huge spaceships flying into the unknown, the representatives of this faction have worked hard to improve their technology, and now Jericho is the most technically equipped faction. Jericho’s ships are fast and maneuverable. Their arms are not only superior in design to those of the other factions, but also differ from them in many ways.
It’s worth noting that the men of Jericho are different from the other descendants of humanity, too. For centuries, this faction led development in the field of cybergenetics, resolving various disadvantages of the physical human body with complex implants that helped them in their struggle for survival.
Starting in early childhood, the Jericho modify their bodies, and this process seems so natural to them that people who don’t use implants are met with scornful surprise. They put their faith into the success of technological development and it has paid off.
Jericho have survived, conquered numerous planets, and returned to avenge those who drove them out. Will this faction justify its name will the people of Jericho allow the wall of misunderstanding that separates them from the rest of the world to fall? Time will tell.
Characteristics of the Jericho Shpis
Jericho ships have relatively low (approximately 15%) hull strength, but very powerful shields and strong recharge generators, which are 35-40% better than in other factions.
Bonuses Of Jericho
“Observant”: +5% more experience
“Intrigue”: +2% damage of missles
The Jericho factions
Reputation is earned for certain actions in the game. Reputation is necessary to obtain the next rank in the faction. Reputation points for one and the same action can give reputation for both sub factions.
Ways to improve reputation
1. The main way to gain reputation points is to fight with the ships of the faction. If you are in battle with ships of different fractions, reputation points will be credited to those factions ships which took part in the battle. You may also enter the fight on non faction ships. In this case the reputation will be provided for the two subfactions.
2. An additional way to gain reputation points is to complete contracts. For the completion of the terms of the contract the player is awarded a certain amount of reputation points as specified in the contract.
Contracts are Quests players can recieve from every faction regardless of their origin. With the completion of the contract the player receives a reward.
Contracts are a way of enhancing the reputation of the fractions. Contracts are not required. It allows you to accelerate the growth of reputation and reduce the time to achieve the next level rank in a particular faction.
At the beginning of the game the player is not available for all contracts. Availability of contracts is unlocked as the reputation for a particular faction. Contracts can be included several times in a row, but a number of contracts have a rollback time and cannot be completed in a series.

Star Conflict – First Look
By Ange Perdu
Star Conflict is a 3D space themed PvP based MMO by Gaijin Entertainment. Set far in the distant future, mankind has stumbled upon a magnificent discovery known as Sector 1337. This new find holds the secrets to ancient civilizations throughout history and their most sought after treasures. Players must choose one of three warring factions as they join this ongoing conflict for intergalactic territorial control. Spacecrafts can be customized with advanced gadgets, weaponry, and modules to create a powerful vessel capable of massive amounts of damage. As official pilots, command an arsenal of battleships, learn special war tactics, and advance your craft’s technology. Assist fellow comrades on their exploration quests or raid patrolling enemy fleets. Similar to other space combat MMOs players compete for the title of top ranked fighter pilot and rule over the ever-expanding universe.
How to Rule the Universe, the Gameplay
In Star Conflict players have the option of completing a brief tutorial or flying straight into the action as a fighter pilot for their chosen faction. Although the tutorial isn’t necessary, those new to space MMOs might find the game to have a slight learning curve. Majority of the gameplay involves PvP combat and maneuvering through the universe to take down opponents. During intense battles players must quickly navigate through hundreds of scattered asteroids and around stationary bases using the WASDEQ keys. There are also a number of specific keys used for activating modules, equipment, and releasing rockets. It can take some time to learn which weapons and modules work best for each particular spacecraft. Pilots are automatically transported to their hangar area where they have entrance to the lobby and the option to choose their desired game mode.
Much like Gaijin Entertainment’s WWII flight simulation shooter War Thunder, Star Conflict features a variety of gameplay options. Pilots can fly solo, complete contracts, or participate in team based PvP battle modes. In solo fighter mode users simply patrol the galaxy looking for enemies to blow up. The effects during combat are quite impressive. Commanders cruising too close to a meteor will see a trail of dust as the ship grinds against the surface. Lasers and rockets soar across the dark sky and attacked spacecrafts ignite as they explode at the hands of their enemies. Contracts are basically mini quests that pilots can accept for additional XP. The tasks often vary depending on the affiliated factions of the pilot. Players must successfully complete contract objectives like destroying an enemy fleet commander, defending or capturing a beacon, eliminating 3 ships with laser weapons, or destroying a rival ship using a guided torpedo.
Space Combat 101
In the hangar area players have several PvP battle mode options to choose from along with skills and ship customization features that can be added to their spacecraft before entering combat. Pilots can fight in Arcade, Regular, and Random Scenarios. Similar to World of Tanks once a mode has been selected the players is transported into the lobby and randomly placed on a team of 8-10 players. Each mode varies with different objectives for teams to accomplish. Some battles may require fleets to plant an EMP-Bomb to destroy enemy stations, capture all enemy beacons, guard control towers, or destroy all of the opposing team’s ships. Star Conflict’s broad range of mission objectives keeps the combat in the game from feeling repetitive. Unlike other sci-fi online shooters, players are challenged. During battle mode known as Combat Incontinence one pilot on each team is randomly chosen as the captain and target. Players must destroy their rival team’s captain and strategize to protect their own leader to score a win. Shooting down drones, capturing beacons, assisting in kills, and blowing up rival ships yield points that are tallied up after each match. Similar to Star Supremacy there’s a very generous reward system integrated into the game as well. After successful matches players can search for loot. This feature enables users to click onto random points on a map to scan for treasure while being timed. It’s a wonderful way to acquire rare gear, gadgets, and loads of bonus points. Items collected during loots can be kept or sold later for currency in order to purchase more advanced ships.
Thrusters in Overdrive & Assault Lasers
The ship customization within the game is somewhat in-depth. Players can learn skills that function as special boosts and have dozens of different weapons or modules to tweak the ability of their spacecraft. Certain artillery is ineffective against a specific ship class. It takes a significant amount of time to figure out which works best. This gives experienced pilots an advantage over new players. Fortunately, most gear and weapons can be easily obtained. There are assault lasers, rail guns, plasma cannons, rockets, missiles, engine suppressor, shield tuning, battle firmware, and ammo that can be purchased or exchanged in shops.
There are dozens of different ships available for each distinct faction. As players move up in rank they can acquire a higher tier ship with bigger reward bonuses. Hercules, Siegfried, Dwarf, Hydra, Trooper, Deimos, Ghost, and Iron Harpy are only a handful of the ships available. Each ship depending on its class has modules for combat, shield generators, engines, rocket compartments, weaponry slots, boosters, and EA emitters that can be customized. Battle microchips that increase weapon damage, thrusters in overdrive for speed, IR Flares to deflect guided missiles, and adaptive armor to maximize hull resistance can all be installed onto a pilot’s ship. Although there are plenty of features to enhance a craft’s combat performance, the ship’s outer customization options could be better. There are only a few little add-ons like the ability to apply a sticker to the ship available.
Final Verdict: Great
Star Conflict is an entertaining fast-paced space combat MMO set in the distant future. Players become fighter pilots fighting for territorial control against rival factions. Upgrade your ship with powerful weapons and boosters, take on high priority contracts, and participate in dozens of unique team based battle modes. Whether playing as a solo pilot blasting away at any ship that moves or in a group PvP battle this game is equally challenging as it is fun. Anyone who enjoys space MMOs or online shooters will find this intergalactic gem from Gaijin Entertainment addicting. For any sci-fi fan it’s definitely worth checking out.
