Founded as CyberSpace Inc in 1994, the company changed its name to Turbine in 2005. Their first breakthrough was Asheron’s Call which was originally published by Microsoft. AC was one of the first 3D MMORPGs and is still in service today. While a sequel never took off, Turbine has since released two major subscription based game that have gone free to play.
On April 20, 2010 Turbine was acquired by Warner Bros.
