Reality Gap was founded in 2008 by video game industry veterans Michael Williams, J. Mark Hood, and Nolan Bushnell. Their first MMORPG offering was the fantasy game Monato Esprit followed by the FPS/RTS hybrid Battlswarm. Besides publishing free to play games, Reality Gap develops the MetaTIX virtual currency billing system which they hope to contract to other companies that manage virtual worlds.
