DayZ Overview

DayZ started out as a simple mod for Arma II, and is being made as a standalone project. Your objective in the game is to survive, whether banding together to rebuild society, or to hunt other players as a bandit. The weapon system is quite in depth, and you can pick up ammo for things like bows and crossbows once used, adding to the realism the game strives for. Included in that realism is an extensive medical system. If you’re bleeding severely, you will continue to do so unless treated. Excessive blood loss means you pass out and eventually die. It will take a while to figure out your way in the world, however, it can also hone your skills in perception and understanding on how to deal with disasters.
