Combat Arms update adds Bombing Run, new map, and more
In addition to the new Kill Creek map we previewed earlier this week, Combat Arms has also released a new game mode and new weapons during the Wednesday update.
The new mode, “Bombing Run,” pits teams against each other in a race to capture a bomb, plant, and detonate it at a target site while the opposing team tries to intercept and defuse the bomb. The Bombing Run is available in the Pump Jack, Rattlesnake, Sandhog, Warhead, and Short Fuse maps.
New weapons include Mei’s MP7 MOD, and the ACR. Clan members also have the exclusive CX4 Storm available to them.
The Original Press Release:
Have some fun on a Bombing Run
Combat Arms adds new game mode, “Bombing Run,” new map Kill Creek, and more weapons in its latest update
Gamers can enjoy a new map and a new mode in Nexon America’s latest update to the popular multiplayer online first-person shooter, Combat Arms <http://combatarms.nexon.net/> , which continues to add content for the game’s three million-plus registered soldiers of fortune.
Kill Creek is the name of the latest Combat Arms map and players looking for a new challenge will be sure to take part in the new game mode, Bombing Run.
This new mode challenges teams to fight, capture a bomb, plant it, and detonate it at an assigned target site, while the opposition defends the site and tries to intercept the bomb. The team that detonates/defuses the bomb wins the round, and the team that wins the set number of rounds triumphs for the match.
Players interested in blowing each other up can enjoy Bombing Run in the following maps:
• Pump Jack
• Short Fuse
Kill Creek offers soldiers a chance to battle it out on a railroad bridge and down into the deadly creek bed below it. This new map supports the following game modes:
• Elimination Pro
• Capture the Flag
• Quarantine Regen
New weapons are also available in the Black Market, including a new rare weapon, Mei’s MP7 MOD, which can be found in the Supply Crate MYST-N.
This submachine gun has customized tuning and is favored by the mercenary, Mei. This retooled gun delivers greater damage and features an extra magazine clip.
Players can also acquire the ACR, the latest and greatest of the carbine assault rifles. Players can also acquire the ACR Sandfire, which offers a unique camouflaged exterior, by spending NX. Players who enjoy using the Specialist class in Combat Arms, will have an option to acquire an Auto-Turret – an armed, deployable turret capable of automatically detecting and engaging hostile targets, providing instant support on the battlefield.
Clan members will now have exclusive items available to them. The CX4 Storm is a state-of-the-art carbine rifle designed to accommodate various bullet types. Traditionally regarded as a semi-automatic rifle, this model of the CX4 Storm has been upgraded to fire at full auto.
