The Original Press Release:
Tales of Pirates II: Alpha Test Begins April 15thStarting at 10:00 PM EDT (GMT-4) on April 15th, IGG will officially launch the alpha test of its newest title, Tales of Pirates II. Due to the considerable amount of content that will be available during the testing phase, the ToP II team has been busy finishing up its pre-alpha testing. To make sure alpha participants will have a high-quality gaming experience, IGG decided to delay the beginning of the test, but tomorrow things will get started with a bang.
From April 15th to April 21st during the ToP II alpha test, IGG will be hosting tons of fun activities for all players. Plus, when testers log in they will be automatically entered in a contest for prizes including a Nokia E63, iPod nano, and $1,000 Amazon Shopping Cards from IGG and ToP II.
Of all the in-game activities lined up, the most hotly contested will be the Leveling Contest. All 6 classes are eligible: Crusader, Champion, Sharpshooter, Voyager, Cleric and Seal Master. At the end of the alpha test, the player who achieves the most levels across all servers will win the top prize, a Nokia E63. The champions among each class will win Amazon Shopping Cards.
There will also be a cool Blade Master Contest during the alpha test, featuring an iPod nano and Amazon Shopping Cards as rewards. The contest will be held in Chaos Argent, a location where players can engage freely in PVP far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, though it does bear a striking resemblance to Argent City. Upon entering, players must repel attacks from enemies while also resisting intangible illusions surrounding them. It’s no cakewalk; players will have to fight fiercely for the top 3 spots and the prizes that go with them.
