Top 5 Best Sci Fi MMORPGs / MMOs
Like all other sub genres of the ‘Free MMO’ / ‘Free MMORPG’ industry, Sci Fi MMOs and Sci Fi MMORPG games have grown quite a bit over the last few years. More and more big game publishers are releasing their own Sci Fi MMOs and MMORPGs. As it stands, there is no one ‘mega popular’ free to play Sci Fi MMO game that dominates the market, but rather a whole bunch of smaller ones that are competing for market share. The only really popular Sci Fi MMORPG out there is Eve Online, but that’s a pay to play game. This would have been a top 10 best Sci fi MMORPG games list, but there aren’t that many Sci Fi MMOs on the market, so it’s a top 5 best free Sci Fi MMO games list instead. #1 S4 League
Yeah I know, I bet you’re tired of seeing MMO shooters on these top list, but there is no way I could have left S4 League out. S4 League is without a doubt one of the best MMO shooting games on the market. It plays a lot like GunZ: The Duel, but with a sci-fi twist. With numerous weapons and fast paced fun gameplay, S4 League is well worth checking out. My only complaint with S4 League is that it’s currently published in Europe, so North American players may experience a bit of lag.
#2 Genesis A.D
Genesis A.D is a unique sci-fi themed MMOFPS published by ijji. The game mixes Alliance of Valiant Arms style tactical gameplay with S4 league style wall jumping and mayhem. The game launched into open beta in mid November 2010, making it one of the newer sci-fi themed MMOs out there.
Face of ManKind is a unique open world action oriented sci-fi MMORPG published by Nexeon technologies. The game relies heavily on role-playing but has very interesting open-world PvP. Players can attack each other anywhere in game. It also has a unique player-driven political system and largely open-ended gameplay!
#4 Ace Online
Ace Online is another Sci-fi MMO shooter, but It’s actually incredibly unique. Think of it as a ‘Star Fox’ MMO, as players can fly their own futuristic sci-fi fighter plane in a large persistent world. Ace Online is faction based, so PvP fans should find a lot of love in the game, as large scale faction wars are incredibly fun and action packed. My only complaint with Ace Online is that the game would be a lot more fun if it had a larger playerbase.
#5 Megaten
Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online, also called Megaten, is currently Aeria Game’s only Sci Fi MMORPG, but without a doubt one of their most original games. Fans of the Shin Megami Tensei games for the Playstation and Playstation 2 should quickly fall in love with this dark themed sci-fi MMORPG.

Hey Man I’ve Tried S4 League it is the best but you should try wolfteam online it belongs to softnyx entertainment it should be 2nd at the list…. by the way the the last 4 games sux you should only add s4 and wolfteam they are cool

Global Agenda should NOT be on this list. its got maybe 4 hours of gameplay in it? The game is shallow and void of content. it is NOT a good sci-fi MMO at all. Anarchy Online is probably still the best sci-fi RPG to date and even that was full of crappy bugs.

halo isn’t an moo they were going to bring it out(titan was its project name) but they cancel’d it(bankrupt), and now blizzard(most famous for world of warcraft) are making a sci-fi mmo futuristic shooter with the people who worked on titan as there team

Pro-est, how do you know if pro gamer is getting paid to game or not. I’ve found usually when someone posts on a forum that they are “this and that”, it’s usually just a wanna-be trying to live in a fantasy realm for a few moments. Get a job kid.

+1 for Anarchy Online, I wish there was something similar : / That game has best character development and twinking I have ever seen. Equpping implants / symbiants / gear isn’t just about leveling high up. You need good plan, calculator and brain activity, which is something Im missing in today’s MMORPGs.

S4 league should be fixed. Hackers are EVERYWHERE in that game. I’m not going to play a game knowing that some dude might use a program to get into my connection and/or computer and screw my life over.
