The game has interactive environments, realistic physicals and bloody gameplay. The core hack’ n slash style gameplay is extremely fun and does a great job of keeping players hooked. Progression in Vindictus, like Fists of Fu and Lunia, is extremely linear.
I bet some of you gamers expected this title to rank a bit higher, but even though the game is stellar, it’s not exactly too original. Runes of Magic both looks and plays very much like Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, but as the game’s review says, that’s not exactly a bad thing. . Learn how to spell and stuff then we’ll talk. By the way, Perfect World rules. Played it for about a year, addicting as hell, and you can customize anyway you want. Most MMO’s I’ve played barely do that; they give you a couple faces and hair and send you on your way feeling kinda wanting more in my opinion. Haven’t found a thing yet to replace it.

Anyways, I can understand how sword of the new world is unique and pretty good. How atlantica online is also unique and cool.
But Runes of Magic in 4th place?! Underneath Maple Story, no less! Maple Story shouldn’t even BE on this list. As a matter as fact, with all the new cool F2P games, especially all the ones going F2P that use to be P2P, these being called the best fantasy MMO(RPG)s is highly debatable.

Well, I’ll have to agree Vindictus is the best f2p mmorpg I’ve ever played. Most of the people saying other games are better obviously havn’t given it a chance =/ But still, im downloading LOTRO right now. Looks fun
I suggest people here give Combat Arms a chance, along with Aika, s4 League, and LOCO.

Every free MMO Ive ever playd all have the same combat/aciton engine.None of the above are good except Lord of the rings online,Im vip in lotro for the past 3 years its f2p to a point then later pay,which is well worth it.If your looking for somthing that takes tactics and not some hack n slash wannabe mmo Lotro is your best bet.

OK to sort out the buisness with MapleStory and how it got up there
Maplestory has ALOT of content and their still adding more and more
The game itself is F2P and everysingle bit of fighting content is available without paying a dime(U can buy bonus stuff but its OPTIONAL)
Maplestory is a classic for its time and you dont see many 2D sidescrollers and maplestory is good for that
Maplestory was made to make friends and you can make alot of friends on there while killing stuff but its the whole idea they tried and suceeded to acheive and that was to make a cartoony game were friends could be made and hang out while having fun like a fantasy rpg just in a 2D sidescroller

Maplestory isnt that good, buts it probably first place for its kind (side scrolling 2d). Vindictus has really good graphics but get boring pretty fast. I agree with the people who like mabinogi. Its really fun, people just judge it for its graphics. when mabinogi 2 comes out (probably a huge graphic update to make it look like its prequel vindictus). then every one will play it and realize what us mabinogi people were talking about. Best fantasy MMO? Everquest, I’ve played WoW, Maplestory, LOTR online, Runes of Magic, vindictus, Megami Tensei, and Anarchy online to name a few of the dozens upon dozens upon dozens of MMO’s I’ve played and yet none have still come close to the experience Everquest gave me. EQ was good because you were emerged in the gameplay, none of that namy pamby 3rd person bullshit where it felt like I was living someone elses story.
Its the ONLY time I was ever able to even get an actual group of fellow role players. And it was epic. These other games might be GOOD, but they aren’t even close to Everquest.

What makes someone have a favorite MMO is the fact that it’s one of his first.. Well, Runescape sometimes even hits 1st place in some mmo lists for whatever reason, but seriously.. the graphics are shit, your movement and attackspeed is just so slow.. everything’s so over odd yet there’s 4 million players in that browser game. Most of those are people who played it like 6 years ago, and eventually if they get brother’s too, théy’ll force ‘m to play the game as if it’d be the only one.

I Played Wizard101 until lvl13 but then its getting boring so I played RoM lvl11=BORING

Many people play a lot of different mmorpgs. Some of them can actually give them satisfaction and some other games can make them unsatisfied with the game depending on their interests. The popular online games out there right now are trying to reach it’s best with changes and updates, which may affect some players’ attention of liking the game while others are actually excited about it. Also, You can’t be mean to other people that play games you don’t like. If they seem very comfortable and liking the game very much, then just leave them. Me, I play MS and PWI and I like those games, but I don’t play it all the time. Anyway, just stick with what you want to do instead of trying to pop out saying your favorite game is the best or some game that sucks really badly. Not all games are the best in the world. Some people don’t even play the best games out there.
