A Mystical Land is a free-to-play fantasy based MMO set in a magical world where anything is possible. Players start out as adventurers as they progress into a bona-fide hero destined to save the country. An uprising has begun against the royal hierarchy. A wicked army, rebel bandits, and a slew of monsters have started conquering villages. It’s up to one of the brave locals to become a legend and set things right. Similar to Runes of Magic and Allods Online players can create their own home in a beautifully animated world. Explore different areas while completing quests. Storm the castle with friends and chat. Fight various creatures from boars to skeletons. Craft a variety of weapons to use in battle. Transform into the hero you were meant to be. Choose between four distinct classes including warrior, wizard, hunter, and priest.
Classes:
Warrior – Equipped with the mighty sword and sturdy set of armor they are guardians. Their powerful blade skills with the ability to absorb damage give this class remarkable strength.
Wizard – Hold the role of destroyer with a specialty of hitting multiple targets during attacks. A mystic class by nature wizards is knowledgeable in elemental magic and carries the staff. They possess the ability to immobilize enemies with ice or scalding their foes with fireballs.
Hunter – Known as scouts with a specialty in swift strikes they serve as the spies of the forests. Hunters are fast and silent with their arched bow at their side.
Priest – This class uses the magic of the land for power and strength. Armed with the mace they have the ability to restore health along with a few effective melee skills.

A Mystical Land is a 3D casual fantasy themed MMORPG set in a world infused with magic and mystery. Players step into the role of an adventurer on a mission to prevent war, uncover the truth, and unite the torn Kingdom of Ardent. Complete challenging quests. Fight off bandits and kill dozens of monsters. Slay trolls, giant spiders, ghosts, and an assortment of enchanted beasts. Join a party and battle alongside friends. Explore over 30 massive zones. Gather and craft using an assortment of tools. Cook, go fishing, mine, master tailoring, blacksmithing, or take up wood crafting. Build a home and defend it against those who seek to destroy all that is good. Become a legend in a land that’s desperately in need of one by perfecting the elements.
Starting Off in Oak Valley, the Gameplay
Heroes begin their adventure in Oak Valley a small town of helpful people with lots of problems. Most of the gameplay involves questing and crafting. The local townspeople have plenty of quests for players to tackle. Similar to Allods Online there’s definitely no shortage when it comes to things to do in this mystical world. Clicking on any of the many NPCs scattered through various zones will prompt a lengthy dialogue and available quest. The detailed dialogue slowly unfolds the game’s storyline as well as give players a bit of freedom to choose their answer. Quests vary depending on a character’s level. Kill beasts like the hungry wolf or slimy crocosaurs bothering villagers. Concoct potions to help heal injured royal guards or fight off bandits invading the King’s castle. Relay messages or items between NPCs or perform more complicated tasks. Some quests require players to explore and retrieve items that can only be collected by slaying certain monsters. There are dozens of creatures to battle from the cave brutes to the ember skinks and relentless trolls. The turn-based and somewhat automated combat can be a bit slow paced at times. Players simply click on their desired opponent to begin fighting. Depending on how far they’ve leveled up their hero various magical skills or maneuvers can be executed during each turn. The skill progression feature is nicely integrated. Every time an adventurer wages combat they earn points which are used to level up any skill of their choice. After defeating enemies loot bags drop.
Achieving Hero Status
To reach hero status players have to uncover various mysteries by completing special missions and leveling up in multiple crafting categories. These tasks usually involve talking to villagers, exploring, and collecting bounties. As players advance they can join the Royal Army. Most of the combat is PvE and cooperative. Heroes form parties with other players to fight monsters and explore the realms together. In each territory there’s a hidden boss character that’s troubling the citizens in the area. These villains have bounties out for their head with a large XP and gold reward. It’s a challenge to find them. Battle the Bully Bacon, Prowler, Ugler the Mean, and Walden the Wailer. Some NPCs are simply there to chat. Occasionally they will ask you to participate in a pop quiz or play a mini-game like paper scissors for XP. Adventurers earn achievements for being extra chatty. It’s a nice addition to the game. Completing all the quests in a particular zone, defeating all mid-level bounties and bosses in Ardent, or reaching level 20 in mining will generate a large gold Achievement reward as well.
Recipes from the Knowledge Book
The in-depth crafting system in this game is impressive. Heroes can master and level up in almost every profession. Strategically placed in populated village areas are cauldrons for cooking, lathes for wood crafting, anvils for smithing, and spinning wheels for tailoring. When players click on any of these stations available recipes appear in their Knowledge Book. In order to begin all the necessary ingredients must be gathered. Grinding slaying monsters or gathering usually generates the random items needed. Create weapons based upon your class, cook up potions or food like poached butterfish to restore health, and make your own clothing accessories. The detailed interactive process makes this feature stand out. Players will see their character working diligently spinning wool, chopping, hacking away at a rock, or sculpting the wood as the dust chips fly. Gathering is also a major part of gameplay. Using the traditional WASD keys for movement players can search the grounds for trees, berries, mounds, and ponds. Pick apples, examine bugs with a magnifying glass, and even go fishing. As adventurers travel to different realms they’ll discover new plant species. Similar to Runes of Magic when heroes level up they can earn the luxury of building their own home.
A Vendor for Everything
Although crafting allows players to create an assortment of weapons and accessories there are also vendors that sell a variety of items. The vendors are categorized by class and product type which is convenient. Purchase the Blacksmith’s Apron, Blue Robe,
Padded Tunic, Braided Boots, Substantial Cleaver, Admirable Gladius Sword, Ready Staff, Stinging Bow, Copious Mace, Hooked Staff, Jamming Shield, and the Punishing Leg bone Club. Enchanted rings and necklaces with magical boosts can be bought at the Accessory Vendor. There’s not a huge selection in any particular category. Most items can be earned for free through looting. In-game gold is required to shop at vendors. The Potion and Harvest Vendors are the most beneficial. They sell items necessary for completing quests or crafting. Snag coarse wool, cotton, silk thread, linseed oil, coal, nails, dry firewood, beeswax, dyes, indigo, and safflower without the labor. At any time players can trade items with each other. It’s an effective method of getting rid of worthless items occupying space. Unfortunately majority of the items are very basic leaving no room for customizing your hero. All of the characters look the same with standard armor and tunics.

A Mystical Land is a fun and addicting casual MMORPG. Set in a magical Kingdom with castles, potions, and monsters players step into the shoes of young hero. Fight skeletons and ferocious bog frogs alone or in a party with friends. Earn numerous achievements, mine, fish, or cook. The mixture of fantasy elements and turn based combat makes it an entertaining game. The heavy crafting feature along with endless quests adds a challenge. For a browser based game there’s a high level of quality that most gamers will appreciate. Any fans of Allods Online or Runes of Magic should definitely try this game.
